Thursday, February 27th at 7:00 p.m. - at New Life Church of the Nazarene.

Mike Malone is a retired national park service ranger who spent the last 16 years of his career at Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. Mike's life long interest in film history led him to research the film history of the Santa Monica Mountains, which includes Paramount Ranch. Now that he's retired Mike has begun to share his research and photo collection with self designed PowerPoint presentations.

From the era of silent movies to Internet based shows of the 21st Century, Paramount Ranch has a rich and enduring history of film making. The sets that once dotted the landscape served as backdrops from 13th Century China to the grassland savannas of Africa to America's Old West. Saddle up and ride along with us on this cinematic journey to where stories were told and movies were made.
