The San Fernando Valley Historical Society welcomes students and teachers to our museum at the Andres Pico Adobe and grounds of the Pioneer Cemetery. Docent-led tours offer lessons on the history of the San Fernando Valley, early California periods, and many of the people who helped settle this area.
Elementary school children are engaged with a variety of fun and educational hands-on activities such as playing Native American games, adobe brick making, butter churning, and other old-fashioned amusements.
Tours are held throughout the week by appointment. Many groups combine a trip to the Adobe and picnic on the park grounds with a visit to the nearby San Fernando Mission.
